LaunchTN’s SBIR Road Tour features virtual, 1:1, and lunch-and-learn sessions with innovation experts.

Ready to take your research from the lab to the marketplace? We’re kicking off a virtual SBIR Road Tour featuring 1:1 meetings with representatives from five federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the just-added Naval Sea Systems Command.

We’re pleased to expand our offerings this year so that more entrepreneurs and innovators benefit from the resources of our statewide network. Tennessee entrepreneurs will receive individualized guidance on applying for Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) grants.

In addition to virtual meetings, we’re hosting in-person lunch-and-learns with experienced SBIR winners and grant writers in local markets across Tennessee, July 10-12. The sessions will also include info about the state’s SBIR/STTR Matching Fund.

“I’m excited that we’re able to offer this opportunity to Tennessee startups,” said Allie Mikels, Commercialization Program Manager for LaunchTN. “SBIR is a competitive program, but when companies can get this non-dilutive funding, they have a way to move their R&D forward. LaunchTN is committed to providing companies with the resources that can help them succeed.”

LaunchTN will coordinate scheduling for all participants, including a pre-Road Tour planning meeting with a commercialization consultant to help you prepare materials for the videoconference.
